About Laurie Johnson Gallagher, E-RYT500, YACEP
As an E-RYT500, Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with over twelve years of developing and teaching educational curriculum for yoga teacher training programs, Laurie brings experience and knowledge to her classes and workshops. She is known for her mindful approach to flow yoga, the individual attention she brings to her students, and a dedication to intelligent sequencing. Laurie began exploring yoga in 1997, eventually drawn to the discipline and challenge of the Ashtanga lineage. She earned her 200-hour certificate with Clayton Horton at Greenpath Yoga in 2003, and has since completed the 50-hour bridge program and 300-hour Professional Program with YogaWorks. Over the past decade, Laurie has also studied with a diverse group of teachers including Rusty Wells, Mynx Inatsugu, Melanie Salvatore August, Jason Crandell, Lakshmi Norwood, Melanie Green, Annie Carpenter, and Maty Ezraty. As a partner, mom of three, cancer survivor and a yogi with a day job, Laurie is keenly aware that the real practice begins when we step off of our yoga mats.
Owner of Dragonfly Yoga + Wellness, Suzanna has studied both Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga traditions and holds a teaching certification in Prana Vinyasa yoga from Shiva Rea’s Samudra School, as well as training in Neelakantha Meditation, and teaching certification for Yin yoga. She has also taught military veterans in the Polytrauma Unit of VA-PAHCS and in the Veterans Center at Las Positas College, and believes strongly in the body’s innate ability to heal. An instructor at the RYT500 level, and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), Suzanna is a Director of Dragonfly’s Yoga Teacher Training Programs. She is also a skilled meditation instructor, a musician, and leads yoga retreats nationally and internationally.
