In this updated 65-hour Yin Yoga immersion/certification, explore the origins and concepts of Yin: a practice that targets joints, fascia and connective tissues to stimulate the flow of Qi in the body, to improve flexibility, to maintain healthy joints, and to learn mindfulness. This new program also includes experiential anatomy, breath work, and meditation practice in a space where time slows, and we can explore a deeper sense of ourselves.

We’ll discuss foundations of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Five Elements system, the organ pairs and their emotional qualities, the meridians, the subtle body, intelligent sequencing and best use of props to support students’ needs. Deepen your understanding of a practice steeped in the traditions of eastern wellness practices, and the Yin qualities of stillness, receptivity, and acceptance.

This program provides a certification from Dragonfly Yoga and Wellness for the teaching of Yin yoga. Teachers who have a 200-hour yoga teaching certification from a Yoga Alliance-registered 200-hour teacher training program are also eligible to include this training as 65 hours of CE (Continuing Education) to satisfy their YA continuing education requirements.
